Radio
I have worked in radio for most of the past decade, producing news and public affairs pieces for public and community stations. My work has aired on KBOO, KALX and has been purchased by KXOT.

“The Science Behind Greenhouse Gasses”
As the media create a frenzy around leaked emails between climate scientists, global leaders and community activists converge in Copenhagen. Yet this month we take a step away from the politics to look at the science behind studying climate change. We hear from Andrew Rice, a professor of physics at Portland State University who studies greenhouse gasses, to learn exactly what concepts and techniques scientists have used to produce data that supports the view that climate change will negatively impact the planet.
“eWaste”
I speak with a pioneering nonprofit that is battling the growing amount of eWaste: Free Geek. Along with sister organizations across North America, Free Geek Portland recycles used technology to provide computers, education, internet access and job skills training to those in need.

- Founded, produced and coordinated feature-length public affairs program on science and technology that combines commentary with interviews and field recordings using a team of writers, reporters and anchors. View program website.
Skill Proficiency:
- Adobe Audition
- Digital audio file compression
- Writing for radio & news
- Soundboard operation
- Numerous digital recorders
Participated in the 2009 NFCB conference, 2008 Grassroots Radio Conference, and 2004 AIR Producer’s Intensive.
